Shaya Lerner, ADL Director of Israel Affairs, will be presenting on ADL’s work in Israel and how we can define the difference between criticism of Israel vs antisemitism.
ABOUT SHAYA LERNER
Assistant Director, Middle East Affairs
Shaya Lerner is the Anti-Defamation League’s Assistant Director for Middle Eastern Affairs. He is responsible for monitoring international issues and events relating to Israel, the Arab World and the broader Middle East, and helps develop ADL positions and programs on these matters. Among the issues Shaya works on are Israel-Arab relations, US-Israel relations, Israeli domestic challenges, global anti-Semitism and efforts to delegitimize Israel around the world.
He has contributed to drafting and editing a number of ADL publications, including a number of articles on ADL’s website, the semiannual “Middle East Press Review” and the annual “Israel: A Guide for Activists,” as well as numerous ADL letters, op-eds and policy memos on a variety of international issues.
Shaya joined ADL in 2011, having previously worked as an international affairs consultant and on special projects for the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. He holds a Master’s degree in Global Affairs from New York University’s Center for Global Affairs.
