“For we were once strangers in a strange land.”
We are excited to announce Temple Emanu-El’s Civil Rights Journey, April 16-19, 2020.
(The Trip will begin the evening of April 16th in Atlanta)
Join fellow Temple Emanu-El Members and Rabbi Ethan Prosnit for a meaningful trip to the South, with stops in Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery. Learn on location about the Civil Rights Movement and the impact the Jewish Community had on this important chapter of American History. Highlights will include: visits to the Rosa Parks Museum and the Civil Rights Institute, a Creative Shabbat Tefilah at the Edmund Pettus Bridge, and tours of Freedom Park and the 16th Street Baptist Church.
There will be an Informational Meeting on Thursday September 12th at 7:30 at the Temple.
Please RSVP to Carol Jassin at email@example.com or 908-232-6770, ext 120 or use the form to RSVP online.
We hope you consider joining us on this journey!
