April 16-19, 2020
“For we were once strangers in a strange land.”
We are excited to announce Temple Emanu-El’s Civil Rights Journey, April 16-19, 2020.
(The Trip will begin the evening of April 16th in Atlanta)
Join fellow Temple Emanu-El Members and Rabbi Ethan Prosnit for a meaningful trip to the South, with stops in Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery. Learn on location about the Civil Rights Movement and the impact the Jewish Community had on this important chapter of American History. Highlights will include: visits to the Rosa Parks Museum and the Civil Rights Institute, a Creative Shabbat Tefilah at the Edmund Pettus Bridge, and tours of Freedom Park and the 16th Street Baptist Church.
We hope you consider joining us on this journey!
