Wednesday, April 19 and Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 PM in the Lavy House

Between the second night of Passover and Shavuot we count the omer. An omer is a measure of barley that our ancestors brought as an offering to the Temple in Jerusalem, thanking God for the harvest and symbolically linking to two holidays. While we can no longer make this offering at the Temple, we can use the time to support those facing food insecurity. Between Passover and Shavuot we will be collecting cereal, pasta and rice for the Jewish Family Services Food Pantry. Please bring items that are marked kosher. Each time you come to temple, bring your “omer” and help a family in need.
