Exhibition & Awards Reception on Yom Haatzamuat – Thursday May 5th, 2022
Purpose: To provide the finest photographs for exhibition on the Temple walls enhance the Jewish and Israeli experience of our congregants and visitors.
Theme: Israel and Judaism
Eligibility: The contest is open to all Temple Emanu-El members in good standing. The entrant must be the photographer. Adults and children are encouraged to submit.
Submissions: All entries should be delivered to Temple Emanu-El main office or uploaded via the form. All submissions received by May 1, 2022 will be considered. Temple Emanu-El is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or misdirected entries. Each photographer is limited to two submissions.
Size of Entries: Prints in 5” x 7” or 8” x 10” size only. Nothing larger will be accepted. No mounted pictures. Photos must be in a frame. Pictures of other artist’s work will not be accepted.
Identification of Entries: Each entry blank must give contestant’s name, address, telephone number and title of picture. Each print must be marked clearly with photographer’s name, address and telephone number. In addition, each entry blank must be signed by the photographer submitting his/her photograph stating that necessary releases have been obtained.

Judging: Entries will be evaluated on the basis of appropriateness for exhibition at Temple Emanu-El and photographic skill. The Temple Photography Contest Committee reserves the right to eliminate photographs which in its sole opinion are not considered appropriate. Decisions of judges shall be final. Names of the winners will be posted in the Temple.
Reproduction: Photographers whose works are selected authorize the use of their names and the reproduction of their work by the Temple for exhibition as well as for material announcing the exhibit.
Liability: The Temple disclaims all liability for loss or damage to the entries, and is not responsible for any lost, stolen or misdirected entries. All reasonable care will be given to prints; however, all work will be shipped, handled and displayed at the photographer’s risk.
Winners: Winners will be announced during the photography exhibition and reception on May 4, 2022. All winning entries, signed and titled, will be on display in the Temple at the conclusion of the exhibition.
