Words of Appreciation

Temple Emanu-El has been working incredibly hard to make sure that your spiritual, emotional, and practical needs are being met at home while we can’t be together in person. Not only that, we’ve relied upon our congregants to assist us in things such as: making check in calls, buying and delivering groceries, picking up medication, making meals, and so much more. We’ve received some beautiful responses in regards to these efforts and we wanted to share them with you to show what a supportive community we are.

We couldn’t do this without all of our families. We are so proud of our Temple Emanu-El community!

Are you in need of help? Would you like to help other congregants?

Here is What Temple Members are Saying

Words of Appreciation
  • Learning from home is seamless

A parent, in response to Sunday’s marathon:

I want to thank you and your entire staff for making the learning from home SO seamless!  I’m sure behind the scenes, it may not have looked or felt that way in the beginning, but to the kids and parents, you guys have gone above and beyond what we could have ever expected, especially in such a short period of time!  I truly mean that!!  Not only because I’m a parent who’s so glad to see some sort of “normalcy” continue, but also I see how other educators are struggling to continue that “normalcy” for their classrooms and students.

  • How Temple Emanu-El is helping

We are indeed keeping our sanity, mostly because of people like you! 🙂

  • Student's are learning from home

A YLE mom” wanted us to convey to you (me) how wonderful RS on-line classes have been.

She is very impressed and appreciative.

Thanks for the great work under this extreme duress!

  • Great programs for adults and kids

The programs you guys have been running have been wonderful. It is so great for both adults and the kids.  Thank you so much!!

  • Mike Kenny is taking care of our Temple home

You and your team are total rock stars!

Always feel safe, secure and well taken care of in your orbit!

  • Inspiring Shabbat services

Dearest Rabbi Prosnit, Cantor Rubel, Abra, Aaron and Rabbi Miller,

I hope this letter finds you all healthy and safe. I just want to say thank you for the last 2 Shabbat services and Nisayon events on Zoom. Rabbi Miller, I was so impressed by your leadership and lovely way of connecting last night at the Nisayon program, “Ani Yehudi.” (My daughter) and I were laughing uncontrollably about your deep love and memories of kasha varnishkes and our traditional Shabbat meal. So funny the things that we remember! A much needed laugh indeed. Abra and Aaron, your presence and leadership are always reassuring and much needed at this time. Rabbi Prosnit, the service was so peaceful and heartfelt last night. Cantor Rubel, your voice and spirit towered above all the sadness and craziness that is going on right now. In short, from the comfort of our home, we were able to share in something so much greater together. As Rabbi Miller said, “we have a code” a way in which we speak to each other. Thanks again for keeping our Jewish community together at this time. Stay healthy and safe.
