For the past 4 years, the Westfield Fun Club has worked to promote the social and economic well-being of local refugee families through a host of programs and activities, including ESL, homework tutoring, resume building, driving lessons, citizenship test, GED and SAT prep, art, music, karate and more.
With the onset of COVID-19 and the ensuing national health crisis, the WFC recognized a growing need to address food insecurity and pledged to deliver food and essential supplies to our most vulnerable families. The number needing assistance has steadily increased, and as of 4/28, we have a roster of 110 families from Westfield, Roselle, Elizabeth, Bloomfield, Bayonne, Newark, Hillside and elsewhere in NJ, who receive our weekly packages.
If you’d like to help, you can visit our Amazon Wishlist here (please choose Fun Club Emergency Supplies at checkout) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for ways to donate needed items purchased locally.
