Each year Temple Emanu-El publishes a Yom Kippur Book of Remembrance that contains the names of beloved departed members of our families whose memories we cherish and wish to honor at this sacred time.

When we rise to recite the Kaddish on Monday, September 28 during our Yom Kippur services, or when you light a memorial candle in their memory on September 27, Erev Yom Kippur at home we will be strengthened as a community, as one congregational family.

May we recall our loved ones’ hugs and kisses and the love and affection they bestowed on us. May we recall their teachings and their examples that guide us even when they are not physically with us. May their memory be a blessing!
