Our Congregation will remember the 6 million Jews that were murdered in the Holocaust with a ceremony that will last the entire day. From 9 AM – 7 PM we continually recite names of Holocaust victims in front of our synagogue. Please sign up for a 15-minute time block to volunteer to read names or stop by throughout the day to remember and reflect on the atrocities of Holocaust. At 7:00 PM we will move into the sanctuary and have the opportunity to remember our own family members that were killed in the Holocaust. If you would like to share your family members names and stories please sign up for the 7:00 PM block. At 7:30 PM, we will have a congregation commemoration service to mark the end of Yom Hashoah. During the afternoon, our soferet will be scribing our new Torah scroll, as a symbol that our Jewish story continues. We hope to raise $1,800 to dedicate a section of our new Torah scroll in memory of the 6 million more. Information to follow on how to donate to remember and honor the victims of the Shoah.
