Pack Emergency Food Bags for Jewish Family Services

Sponsored by The Mandy Reichman Feeding Program, Jewish Family Services of Central New Jersey, and Temple Emanu-El. Help us pack 100 emergency food bags to Jewish Family Services of Central NJ each month!

Saturday Morning Fun Club

Saturday Mornings at our Temple are so very special. Most Shabbat mornings, in the Sanctuary and the Chapel, our wonderful B’nai Mitzvah students are standing before their family and friends and leading the congregation in prayers, teaching what they learned, and reading from the Torah for the first time.

Caring Community

Repairing the world often begins at home. The Caring Community Committee at Temple Emanu-El assists Temple members in times of need. We are here for our families with home delivered meals, challahs on Fridays, shloshim (30-day period following burial) calls, rides, companionship, or just a listening ear.

Park Cleanups

The outdoors has served as such great therapy for all of us over the past year, where we could breathe fresh air and stretch our legs after spending way too much time indoors. That said, with more people spending time in our parks and less organized park clean-ups, there has also been a build-up of litter in our forests and streams. We should remember how inextricably linked our human health is with the very ecosystems that support us.

Housing the Homeless/Family Promise
Family Promise helps families experiencing homelessness in Union County by providing shelter, food and support services. Typically during this time of year, Temple Emanu-El would house clients of Family Promise in our building and provide them with food, shelter and companionship.
